One of the hottest colors at the 2010 Grammys was hardly a color at all.

Some of the night's most gorgeous gowns -- worn by some of the evening's most gorgeous ladies -- came in sandy, natural hues and the statement-making was left to the details, silhouettes and fit of the dresses.

First, there was the night's biggest winner, Beyoncé, who walked the red carpet in flashy diamond and yellow gold pave pendant earrings by Lorraine Schwartz, iridescent nails and an uber-structured pale gown by Stephane Rolland created with shiny tone-on-tone fabrication that highlighted her jealousy-inducing hourglass figure.

Beyoncé, who switched into a short black rubbery dress for her performance, took home six awards, a record number for any female in Grammy history.

Newer -- yet no less lovely -- artist Keri Hilson also played the tan, curve-hugging card with a beautiful tulle Dolce & Gabbana mermaid gown with an embellished sash which cinched the Best New Artist nominee's tiny waist.

"I don't know how I got into it," Hilson, who wore Neil Lane jewels, said of her dress on E!'s pre-show. "I didn't workout this morning, but I did up until last night."

Recently engaged pop star Katy Perry also rocked the au naturel look, alongside husband-to-be/funnyman Russell Brand, who wore his shirt unbuttoned down to there.

"I have this whole India thing going on because we came back from India a few weeks ago," Perry said of her flesh-colored Zac Posen dress which was dripping in gold beads to match a gold bindi on her forehead. The singer accessorized with Dijan diamond skull earrings and a Judith Leiber elephant clutch.

Other ladies sporting the trendy tone included Ashanti and Heidi Klum.
