Last night in Manhattan, a slew of editors and girls-about-town gathered in a private residence for what was the most festive of pre-Fashion Week occasions. Designer Lisa Salzer, the creative force behind the contemporary jewelry line Lulu Frost, hosted a "loan party" in which a coterie of trusted industry darlings could take a piece or two from previous collections to wear throughout the social swirl that is New York Fashion Week.

Held at the home of Lesley M. M. Blume - a contributing editor at the Huffington Post - the party was co-hosted by Elle's Alexis Bryan Morgan, as well as pals Annie Churchill Albert, Amanda Hearst, and Dalia Oberlander. The style collective got to play not only with the Art Deco-inspired jewelry from seasons past but also future offerings. Salzer's new fall "Silver & Gold" collection - based on a concept of ombré color gradation and the melding of metals - was also on display (though not for the taking).

Also drawing plenty of oohs and aahs were the gourmet cupcakes created by Jennifer Lynn Pelka, the right hand woman to star chef Daniel Boulud.

Pelka, for her part, had no need to dip into the Lulu Frost archive. She was wearing her own necklace thank you very much. "This is mine, I own it," she said. "Actually Lisa gave it to me when I did a guest stint on 'Top Chef.'"
