This week on Bravo's "Kell on Earth," Kelly Cutrone's fashion PR firm had a complete meltdown over the seating arrangements for over 1,000 people at Rucci's Spring 2010 show last September.
Words were exchanged all around and the snafu ended badly for Cutrone, with Rucci ending their business relationship.
This season's presentation will be a far cry from that catastrophe. Vivian Van Natta, Chado's president told StyleList that the fashion show Thursday (Feb. 11) evening will be much more intimate.
"We're going from over 1,000 guests in the biggest tent to 220 in our studio," she said, adding that all of the seating and production is being handled in-house, so chances of a repeat of last season are nil.
A smaller space means more control over the décor. Rucci chose to make the floors and walls white, with one wall of mirrors opposite a wall of original artwork bearing his personal touch.
Rucci painted the 10 five-feet-square canvases in a bit of an unorthodox fashion -- he used his naked body to create texture in black paint, rolling on the canvases.
If he goes that far for his walls, imagine how amazing his clothes will be.
