Many female StyleList staffers have long suspected that their boyfriends/husbands/partners actually take longer to primp and preen before a night out than they do, regardless of what pop culture stereotypes display about women taking forever in front of the mirror.

Finally we have our proof! According to the Daily Mail, a Superdrug (the UK health and beauty chain) survey found that "men spend 83 minutes a day on personal grooming, including cleansing, toning and moisturising, shaving, styling hair and choosing clothes."

Women clock in at 79 minutes -- that's four minutes less, boys!

The same survey also says men spend a minute longer than women in the shower.

Granted this is a British survey so maybe our American lads are a bit swifter in the ol' b-room, but as mentioned before, here at StyleList we think this seems accurate.

So listen up dudes! No more rolling your eyes at us while we're doing our hair, ok? We're on to you.
