MAKEUP: Hung Vango for M.A.C
HAIR: Marco Santini for Davines
SNAPSHOT: Woodland Fairy

THE SCOOP: For fall, Jeremy Laing turned out a collection inspired by Native American art, dominated by a rich dark palette that evoked the misty feel of the Pacific Northwest.

For hair, that translated into a fairy-like quality at the hands of Marco Santini, who used a needle to actually knit half pulled-back hair together for a messy and slightly fuzzy look. "Jeremy told me that he wanted a fairy that has been in the forest, in the rain and wind," he said. "So it's very organic, almost like how you would imagine a drawing of a fairy." He wet hair with a leave in conditioner, pulled hair back in two sections and then blew dry in the opposite direction to create the storm-like effect.

Laing is always a fan of less is more when it comes to makeup, and this season was no exception: Makeup was minimalist except for a red "Redwood" eye liner-applied to the inside of eyes-that aptly harkens the rich burgundy shade of a Redwood tree. "We let the clothes do the talking," said makeup artist Hung Vango. "It's meant to enhance the face-not make a statement." To finish off the look, porcelain skin took on a slightly matte finish and lips were painted in a soft nude shade.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by M.A.C. Eye Liner in Redwood. Luna Cream shadow was used to highlight cheeks and face. And the look was topped off by Lipstick in Folio.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: Wet Hair with Davines' Dede leave-in conditioner and pull hair back into two separate sections. Then blow dry locks in the opposite direction to create a stormy wind-swept look. Pin two sections together at the middle of the head.
