HAIR: Guido Palau for Redken
NAILS: Butter London
SNAPSHOT: Old School Kate Moss
THE SCOOP: Alexander Wang is the cool kid of the fashion world -- designing clothes that represent the "it" grunge girl. And for his Fall 2010 fashion show the beauty team perfected looks that embodied this spirit.
Inspired by supermodel Kate Moss (late '80s-early '90s era), Diane Kendal worked her makeup brushes to create a look that was all about a reddy brown, gorgeous eye. "[Wang's] clothes have a lot of rich colors - dark burgundy, brown and blue - so he wanted to have a bit of color," said Kendal. "I'm doing really fresh skin with a grease over the eye lids, blending up into the brow bone, with a little mascara and lip balm."
Guido Palau complemented the makeup with a saturated, sleek 'do. "I always love girls that look tomboyish and a little sexy," said Palau. "And I think they feel great like that. So with the combination of a dryer and hairspray I'm creating a very drained and heavy look. I want something so that when they hit the runway, people would wonder what is that."
Manicurists from Butter London rounded out the looks with a pinkish-nude nail polish on the hands.
