THE SCOOP: For her Fall 2010 collection, Twinkle designer Wenlan Chia made a fashionable escape into a fairy tale reminiscent of Hansel and Gretel. And the beauty team followed suit with whimsical hair and dramatic eyes and nails.

Inspired by the textures, patterns and finishes within the collection, lead hair stylist John Ruidant created a winding chignon that played up the natural textures of the hair. "I left the flyaways and separation so that it doesn't look smooth," said Ruidant, "I wanted her to look like she's been running around in the woods from the witch."

Gianpaolo Ceciliato was moved by Chia's clear vision for how she wanted the model's to look -- which made it nice and easy for him to perfect a look that was all about smoky eyes. "I wanted to use the face as a wide canvas to create beautiful matte skin with dark and glossy eyes," said Ceciliato.

CND manicurists completed the look by applying false nails in a rich purple shade to the models' fingers, filing them down to a slightly rounded tip.
