THE SCOOP: Designer Rachel Roy embodies the spirit of the woman she designs for -- confident, sexy, strong, and a true trailblazer in everything she does. So for her Fall 2010 presentation, the hair and makeup team created a bold and fearless look to accentuate the alluring collection.

Drawing from the opulent and ancient Egyptian undertones of the pieces, lead hair stylist Andre Rodman "channeled Cleopatra and her iconic stick straight bob." For a modern touch, Rodman swept hair back (skipping a center part) and boosted strands at the crown of the head for added height and definition.

Wendy Rowe rounded out the look with an iridescent, smoky eye bursting with a hint of aqua that mimicked the shades found on a peacock feather. "It's 1930s-inspired with heavy velvet in the eyes, but futuristic," said Rowe. "And we kept the rest of the face modern with fresh skin and nude lips."
