HAIR: Rudi Lewis for Cutler
SNAPSHOT: French "It" Girls
THE SCOOP: "She knows she's cool and doesn't have to try so hard," is how Lewis described the beauty look for Rebecca Taylor. "Like Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou Doillon -- French 'it' girls that roll out of bed, puts on her boyfriend's jacket and look good." This translated into textured, bedhead-y hair and not-so-perfect black eye makeup.
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by MAC. Omoto used gel liner close to the lashes then used a big brush to "swoop" it out. "It's not perfect," she said. "A little smudged so it's tougher -- but feminine. It has a rock and roll attitude." She used Fluidline in Blacktrack and Pro Paint Stick in Black on the eyes, she contoured the cheeks with Mineralize Skinfinish, and Pro Lip Erase to remove pink tones from the lips.
GET THE LOOK - HAIR: Lewis created a slightly disheveled look with texture at the roots to emulate bedhead. First Lewis sprayed the girls' hair with Cutler Volumizing Spray and back-brushed areas on the top of their heads where he wanted a spot of "bedhead." He spritzed the spots with Redken Spray Starch, pressed them with a flat iron and then fluffed them out with his fingers.
GET THE LOOK - NAILS: My Private Jet by OPI is a cool, metallic gray/brown color with sparkles.
