THE SCOOP: Each year, the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation awards the who's who of fashion with a grant to help present their work during New York Fashion Week. And while this honor is certainly major, nothing is greater than the task of the makeup artist who must create a look that works for each designer. Fortunately, for this year's lucky eight, they have Gucci Westman.
After meeting with the Ecco Domani designers, Westman was inspired to create a non-tradional smoky eye. "I'm doing a combination of a purple sparkly shade as a base, going over it with a greenish-brown so it creates this deep, gray violet color, and applying a pop of coral in the tear ducts," she said. "It's that seductive, '70s feeling, but made up."
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by Revlon. Begin by applying Age Defying Spa Foundation. Sweep Cream Blush in Rosy Glow onto cheeks. Blend the shadows within ColorStay 12 Hour Eyeshadow Quads Day Dreamer (available May 2010) and Suede Rhapsody (available September 2010) onto lids, starting with the darkest shade as the base. Line eyes with ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in Blackest Black. And finish look by smoothing on Matte Lipstick in Wine Out and topping with Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Firecracker (available May 2010).
