WHAT WE THOUGHT: While Fetherston is known for her prim and proper looks, this season she seemed to loosen up a bit, though didn't abandon her uber-feminine signature style. The hippie chick theme was obvious from the beginning, with flowy, mid-calf chiffon gowns -- some printed with sweet songbirds -- and shorter shift dresses with romantic poet sleeves working best; her more masculine velvet suiting and wool vests and pants did less for us. Fetherston's palette of washed out hues, which reminded us of something out of a wonderfully faded photograph, included a good-enough-to-eat offering of sage green, putty, Sunkist orange and candied lilac.
