THE SCOOP: Halston is known for luxurious designs with a chic and modern edge. The Fall 2010 collection, Marios Schwab's debut with the brand, was in line with Halston's classic style, featuring complicated cuts and expensive looking tailoring. The makeup and hair teams worked together to highlight the ladylike sophistication and contemporary edge of the collection with a color palette of neutral tones and straight, sleek hair.
Hair stylist Eugene Souleiman chose a very long and classic look for the hair. "Full of buckles and straps, the new collection has a lot going on and the hair brings it back to reality by making it look more defined and beautiful," said Souleiman. "The hair looks very Rapunzel. Virgin hair is a term in England for hair that hasn't been cut or colored and this is the type of hair we wanted to create."
"The clothes are ladylike and luxurious and definitely not shy so I went for a colorless and chiseled look contrasted with soft eyes to show off the very sculpted pieces in the collection," said Makeup artist Lisa Butler. "I used beige and earthy tones and lip gloss with a hint of green color. From the side profile, everything looks very finished."

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by M.A.C. Apply beige and cream foundation and base to take the color out of the face. Apply enough beige color to knock the brow bone out. Follow with Strobe Liquid on the cheekbones to give the skin a radiant glow. Dab the lips with clear lip gloss blended with a shade of green.
GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by Wella. Start by blowing the hair out with System Professional Start Up, making sure to even out the roots and the ends as you blow it dry. Follow by applying Flat Iron Spray to hold the hair in place. "The hair doesn't move much on the runway," said Souleiman. For girls with shorter hair, extensions were added.
GET THE LOOK - NAILS: All products by Dashing Diva. Apply one base coat followed with 2 coats of West Village polish (which is a mushroom taupe color) and then finish with one layer of topcoat. This color was painted on the nails and toe nails of the models.
