Hervé Léger Fall 2010 - Runway Review

INSPIRATION: "Speed of street athleticism"
TOP LOOKS: Um, a bandage dress? Twenty-seven were shown out of 32 looks. Such is the way of Hervé Léger! The best versions were white three-quarter sleeved and trimmed in velvet; black one-sleeved with a metallic knit patch on shoulder; and those fastened together via laces (of the shoe variety, not doily)
ACCESSORIES: Tall peep toe boots in white and black; the occasional oversized envelope clutch
WHO WAS THERE: Sophia Bush, Tinsley Mortimer, Hilary Rhoda
WHAT WE THOUGHT: The Hervé Léger line has historically revolved around the bandage dress, so the abundance of them in the show made perfect sense. What was also nice to see is the addition of you-may-be-sorry-if-you-have-that-last-bite-of-cake form-fitting separates via pants, tops and skirts.
Some of the pieces were so sleek that they had a chic "Avatar" feel. These dresses are made for women who want to wear a second skin. The new design elements, including extra folds at the hip, were a cool and modern update.
