INSPIRATION: "An eclectic mix of urban and rural style" Reese said a few days ago.
WHO WAS THERE: Julia Stiles,Michelle Williams, Kristen Bell, and many kids who had the day off school, tagging along with their parents.
TOP LOOKS: Strapless blush dress with a tulle-like overlay and a big, sparkling necklace; black lace shell and lacquered jacquard short; everything with arm warmers
ACCESSORIES: Arm warmers, cozy scarves, cowls, sparky necklaces, big, bad booties by Highline United for Tracy Reese
WHAT WE THOUGHT: This collection was a bit of a departure from previous Tracy Reese collections, which tend to toward girlish dresses. With lots of leggings-as-pants, black lace and sunglasses, many outfits definitely delivered the more urban edge Reese had promised. But she still had some pretty dresses -- three in a sublime shade of sky blue mottled with tan -- that any girlie girl would love. No matter what the look, every ensembled conveyed a feeling of warmth without heaviness: Black armwarmers with cocktail dresses; twisted black scarves wrapped around necks and big; puffy wraps that obscured the models' mouths. It made me remember that winter can be fun.
