THE SCOOP: Designer Maria Cornejo's Fall 2010 line is inspired by the construction of menswear (which she learned while creating her first men's collection this year), juxtaposing dark, tomboy tailoring with bright pops of color.
The makeup was bronzy and neutral, for a look that gives structure to the face, without looking perfectly polished. The eyes were dark at the inner and outer corners, with one last minute addition to the look: "When the girls came in for the casting they looked a little rough and windblown, and we loved it, explained makeup artist Dick Page. "So we switched up the cheek look to be a little apres ski."
Hair was infused with tons of texture. "The clothing is quite tailored," explained hair stylist Thomas Dunkin. "So the hair needs to look soft, with an undone, 'washed-and-left' approach."
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by Shiseido. Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio in Strata (new for Fall 2010) on lids; the deep brown shade was brushed on to the inner and outer corners only. Eye Liner in BR02 was applied at the lash line and Perfect Rouge Glowing Matte lipstick in Whisper was used on the lips. Cheeks were warmed up with a combination of three Color Sticks: S1, S4 and S5.
GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by Sebastain Professional. Apply Whipped Creme to damp hair, twist hair into loose sections and blowdry the length of the hair. Spritz in Trilliant for extra shine, then dip fingers in Matte Putty and ruffle the ends of the hair for and undone look.
