If it looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck... it's Shannon Doherty.

We've seen a few "90210" episodes in our day, but we knew better than to ask the star about her "Brenda Years" at the G-Star cocktail party tonight. Can you imagine how sick she is of talking about it all these years?

Instead, we talked beauty with the beautiful Doherty, who was accompanied by an editor friend (hey, one of our kind!) and was in town just for the G-Star show.

"You look amazing," I told Doherty.

"Wow, thank you!" she said.

Me: "What makeup do you use to play up your eyes?"

"I wear a lot of Chanel," Doherty told me. "On my eyes I like grays and browns. I like either very natural or smokey."

"I'm not a big fan of blush," the star continued. "Somebody actually put blush on me right before I got here and I was horrified, and still am," Doherty joked.

When I asked if Doherty had a favorite handbag, it turns out the star is totally Chanel brand-loyal:

"I have a Chanel black medium-sized bag that I take on planes with me, I carry it everywhere. It always looks brand new, and I don't take care of my bags, I kind of toss them aside. But it looks brand new, it's in amazing shape and it holds everything," said Doherty.

A few minutes later, Mr. Glam Rock himself, Adam Lambert, walked in, and was immediately mobbed. The "American Idol" star had an Elvis-style hairdo, slicked up on top with styling wax, and some very glamorous green glitter-rimmed eyes.

"How many products did it take to get this look?" I asked.

"Oh man, I don't even -- I lost count. And I got really overwhelmed too because, like, it's cold and it's hot and it's dry and it's this, and I'm like 'Oh, moisturizer! Oh, hairspray!'" Lambert replied.

Me: "Is there anything you never leave home without?"

"I don't leave home without my music, my iPod, because while I'm getting ready I get real stressed the heck out."

Ok, I was thinking more along the lines of beauty products, but this'll do. "Do you listen to your own songs?" I asked.

"No!" Lambert said, rolling his eyes. "Ke$ha's CD is really fantastic, her CD is really great for getting ready. Always Goldfrapp, Mike Snow is really great for getting ready."

I'll keep that in mind for my next late-night after-party.

Finally, it was on to the lovely Liv Tyler, G-Star ambassador, actress, and face of Givenchy.

"Any favorite beauty products?" I asked.

"A lot of favorite products!" she said excitedly. Then, took a moment to try and think of some. "Um, Givenchy?" she offered with a laugh. "You know what I really love? The old cool Rosebud lip balm."

We're not surpised. Rosebud Salve is a huge celeb favorite.

Finally, we asked the stylish star -- who, we learned, has been friends with Kate Moss since she was about 14 -- which of her parents influenced her style more. (For the record, dad Steven Tyler is the lead singer of Aerosmith, and mom Bebe Buell was a model.)

"Both of them pretty equally," Tyler said. "Looking at old images of them when they were younger, and now even, they're both really brave and wear what they like and I like that. They're not really following any trends of any kind."
