What do the unlikely trio of Maggie Rizer, Beth Ostrosky Stern and Laura Linney have in common?

This is not a trick question.

The lucky ladies turned up at Michael Kors' Fall 2010 Fashion Week show in shiny, happy Palm Beach blue by the designer for their front row appearances at his show today. The "Project" Runway judge showed sunny azure shades on his Spring 2010 runway, back in September, along with graphic black and white.

So what does this mean for the fashion flock? We think it's visual optimism, as if the bright blue is saying: "Chin up, ladies! Spring is coming! The economy can't get any worse!"

If that's true, blue, baby we love you.
