THE SCOOP: Since Brian Reyes' Fall 2010 collection was inspired by nature -- rife with prints and textures that ran the woodsy gamut from tree bark to forest fires -- the makeup and hair was ethereal, yet strong. "She's a princess bride who's marrying the woods," said hair stylist Martin Christopher Harper.
"The hair looks kempt, but unkempt," he explained, as he loosely side-parted hair and worked it back into a low, shaggy ponytail.
The makeup was all about a smoky eye, in shiny, nature-inspired shades of aubergine and spearment. "We took a few tones from the collection, and tied them together with the makeup," said makeup artist Wendy Rowe. She concentrated on sprightly, shimmery textures, leaving out a backstage staple -- mascara. "No mascara gives the girls an innocent look," she added.

The upper lids were colored with Eggplant Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow, while the lower lids were lined with spearmint-tone Long-Wear Cream Eye Shadow in Aqua. Cheeks were defined with Sandstone Blush, and lips were minimized with Beige Lip Color.

Use Anti Frizz Secret Cream before blowdrying to give hair a matte, malleable texture, and, once dry, use Dry Shampoo Spray at the roots only for extra height. Side part hair and fasten it into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck. Tease the ponytail so it's not too perfect.
