INSPIRATION: Russian dolls in military-inspired attire with a bit of country
TOP LOOKS: Army and red blanket stripe dress with khaki bag; army coat with elbow patches, twill pant and green cardigan; cherry red wool jacket with navy shorts; blue military jacket; herringbone vest and skirt combo; short white lace dress and subsequent similar top with blue wool pants
ACCESSORIES: All kinds! The cute flats and bobby socks combo that we saw one night prior at Marc Jacobs plus similar items like the fur-laden bags (this time in messenger form); oxford shoes in black, gold, bronze, and navy; trapper hats, lace-up brown leather boots, pumps
WHO WAS THERE: Company CEO Robert Duffy (tweeting away no doubt, before he deleted his account), Terry Richardson, Amanda de Cadenet, Justin Theroux, Lorenzo Martone
WHAT WE THOUGHT: As is often his wont, Marc Jacobs sent a variety of mix and matched looks down the runway for his diffusion line, and they weren't at all overwhelming. Instead there were tons of cool separates for the taking in a variety of categories. It started with an military theme that contained red and olive green-striped dresses and military jackets with red piping. From there it morphed to blue suits - some in tartan - and others in herringbone. Toward the end gold and lace had replaced checks and stripes. It was a hearty offering that left us feeling satiated.
