THE SCOOP: Founded by pop-star Justin Timberlake and his hometown friend,Trace Ayala, William Rast has evolved from a solely denim brand to encompass leathers, outerwear, wovens and knits. Inspired by the great Midwestern landscape and free-spirited, nomadic culture, the brand's Fall 2010 collection was filled with leather, jeans and knits that were manipulated into fresh and edgy pieces and accessorized with Indian feathers and furs.
The beauty team collaborated to create a look that played up this western nomad appeal with mega lashes, a fresh face and motorcycle blown hair.
Makeup artist Charlotte Willer made the eyes the focal point of the look. "The collection is very biker girl meets Brigitte Bardot so I went for a 60's look with the eyes by piling on layers of mascara to create a heavy fan of dark lashes," said Willer. "I wanted the girls to have dark, full lashes and smooth, untouched skin."
Hair stylist Thomas Dunkin went for the girl on a bike looking back from a motorcycle with full, windblown hair look. "We have seen a lot of sleek, straight hair on the runway this season and this concept is really going back to the beachy, tousled look, made famous by Kate Moss," said Dunkin. "I gave some of the girls a hippie headband to add an extra hint of fun."

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by Sebastian Professional. Start by spraying Volupt Spray, a volume-building spray gel, onto damp hair. Follow by twisting small sections of the hair and blowing each section dry from root to tip. Then, lightly cover the hair with Re-Shaper,a lightweight hairspray, and gently tease the roots with your fingers to create volume and texture. Finish by taking a dollop of Matte Putty, a soft dry texturizer, and whisking it through your hair. "Right before the models stepped on the runway I sprayed another touch of hairspray so the hair would maintain sexy movement as the walk," said Dunkin.
