DESIGNER: Brian Reyes

INSPIRATION: A birch forest. Reyes invited Oksana Mas, a Ukrainian artist, to design a birch print for the collection.

TOP LOOKS: Black washed silk cropped tuxedo jacket with high-waist slim pant; short-sleeved beige Lurex sweater with gray silk tap pants; birch print jacket and washed gray silk pants; light blue printed knee-length dress with sporty Speedo back; black V-neck gown with racer back and cut-out sides

ACCESSORIES: Clog-like lace-up mules and sandals; oversize fur gloves; a black knitted and fur scarf with pockets built in for cold hands; thigh-high and knee socks

WHO WAS THERE: Actress Jessica Stroup; socialite Zani Gugelmann; The New York Times' Cathy Horyn

WHAT WE THOUGHT: Reyes' arboreal inspiration resulted in a collaboration with the above mentioned artist, Oksana Mas, who designed a shadowy bark print for the show. A shiny dark brown/gold sporty cut dress and skirt offered a less literal take on tree theme. A few PYT's in the front-row were sporting the shagreen print the nature-loving designer showed last Spring. Like his starlet fans, Reyes' moodily romantic Fall collection was playful and young.
