WHAT WE THOUGHT: After a week of watching designers layer every which way 'til Tuesday, Francisco Costa's elegantly minimal collection was like a breath of fresh air. He debuted sculptural new shapes (such as the sloped shoulder and elongated, tube-like sleeves in coats and the suit above) and sticked to a palette that consisted of black, white, and silver (with the exception of two punctuating pieces in cobalt blue). The opening round of bonded viscose and cupro coat and shift were so technically executed that they looked liquid as they went by while the last look, a long form lurex silver gown was sheer genius.
