THE SCOOP: New York Fashion Week was winding down but that didn't keep the hair and makeup teams at Naeem Khan from pulling out all the stops. Gallegos created a unique take on the smoky eye, while Philippon was hard at work on a gravity-defying updo.

"We did a really carved out crease," explained Gallegos. "With really straight cream liner and nothing underneath the eye. It's not your typical smoky eye."

As for the hair, "This is a rock and roll version of a French twist," said Philippon. He did two (!!) side-by-side twists in the back to keep it from sticking out too much. "French twists can be hard because they can look too retro. And I saw huge earrings [in the collection] and I thought, 'We have to go really narrow on the sides." Narrow and wet-looking -- the team coated the hair with gel to give it a shiny, slick look.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: Shade the eye crease with Mac Cosmetics' Carbon Black Eye Shadow and define the lash line with their Blacktrack Gel Liner.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: We're not suggesting you attempt two French twists and coat your hair in gel, so an easy way to get this look is to spray hair with Bumble and Bumble Does It All Spray, tease the top to make a mini-bouffant and slick the sides back (with a bit of Bumble and Bumble Gel) into a ponytail or simple twist.

GET THE LOOK - NAILS: Dashing Diva nail color in Dark PR is a deep, dramatic burgundy.
