Get ready to lose a few pounds without even having to go to the gym or alter your diet.

Our friends at Glamour magazine are revealing how to find figure-flattering pieces for your body shape. Like which colors and prints to wear and how to pair them with the appropriate accessories to help highlight your best features. All this could cause you to look approximately ten pounds thinner.

It's kind of like fashion magic. Let the hocus pocus begin!

Glamour magazine presents simple style tips that will make you look ten pounds thinner!

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Match your separates.
"Lose" five pounds by matching your pants or skirt, stockings and shoes. You'll seem 10 pounds lighter if they're all black! Is the one-color thing too tame for your taste? Slip on a pair of bright shoes to shake things up.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Remember the number one secret of slim dressing: proportion.
Full, round shapes on top and bottom will make you look...full and round. So always accentuate your smallest part by pairing your more generously cut pieces with a snugger mate. Balance a wide leg pants with a fitted shirt, a miniskirt with a longer top, etc.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Sport the right jacket.
Jackets that are hip-length with tailored lines will look sleek; ones that are too baggy or that pull are figure-flattery disasters. Tapered jackets will always whittle your waist.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Choose shapely skirts.
The tailored cut of a pencil skirt (we love that it's not skintight through the hips) makes all bodies look sleek.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Slip on a long cardigan.
Waist-length cardigans tend to shorten your body while long, hip-grazing versions make torsos seem long.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Dress up jeans with heels (and tuck in your shirt).
Ever wonder why you see this look again and again on celebs, in ads, in magazines? Because, done right, it makes every woman look longer and leaner. Most flattering: straight-leg or boot-cut jeans that sit on your hips (as opposed to at your waist or below your hipbone) and cover your instep when you're in heels.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Use the right belt.
Try one with a little nylon stretch that comfortably pulls you in. Wider belts instead of skinny ones will actually make you look smaller.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Look for these flattering pants features:
•Flat-front styles. They're instant minimizers if you're curvy. Unlike pleats, a flat front creates an unbroken line across your stomach--making you look taller and slimmer.
•A waistband between one and two inches wide. Narrower ones can divide (and draw attention to) a tummy bulge.
•A slight flare. These have long been a top seller for a reason: They make hips look slimmer.
•A smidge of stretch. It helps pants hold on to the clean, sharp fit you bought them for.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Get yourself a wrap dress.
It's one dress everyone looks great in. They're usually constructed with darts at the bust, curve-enhancing seams and cinch in at or just above the waist--all sveltering features.

Glamour: How to Dress 10 Pounds Thinner

Pick your prints wisely.
Prints aren't as slimming as solid colors, but you can make them work for you by playing up their camouflaging features. If you're bigger on the bottom, try pairing a printed A-line dress with a pair of black tights. The golden rule of prints: The smaller the print, the smaller you look.

"Get ready to lose a few pounds without even having to go to the gym or alter your diet." Just what people need to read. They can dress to look thin and in the meantime, go out and suck down some fast food, heavily laden hot fudge sundaes, chocolate bars and whatever else you can sink your teeth into. Ignorant, stupid article. Your health is more important and if people are that shallow that they judge you by your weight, then you don't need these type of people. Feel better about yourself by working the weight off, instead of hiding it. - http://freepetadvice.net

The color of your shoes makes you look thinner? ROFL Talk about grasping at straws. Eat less and you will actually BE thinner...LOL

EXACTLY!!!! Instead of spending money on clothes to make you look thinner, spend it on a gym membership. Eat less and eat healthy food and that'll also free up some money. What's the point of "appearing" thin (which most of those models aren't fooling anyone) if you're still unhealthy?

I too hardly think the color of my shoes are going to make my arms look more toned!

For years my clothing decisions revolved around what could best camoflouge my heavy arms and thick thighs. I recently lost 50 pounds and it is freeing to decide what to wear based on what I like versus what is best going to hide a roll of flab!

I lost the weight by watching my calories, eating less processed food and getting in some form of exercise every day. I usually walk 20 minutes every day and I wear SmartSole exerciseinsoles hTtp://www.smartsole.com. They are body toning insoles
similar to Reebok Easytone that help you burn extra calories while
you walk or work out as well as tone and tighten. I read about them
on my weight watchers board and the code ww10 gives you a 10%
discount.

I also try not to eat after 8 pm at night.

The wide coat collar girl is beautiful, and her body type is perfect. She doesn't need to look ten pounds lighter. Societal standards are so ridiculous.

Most of the gals in your pix. look like they are approaching 300 pounds. Not that there's anything wrong with that. However, if a person (male or female) wants to look slimmer, it is a gross misconception that clothes will do the trick. Nope. Ya gotta shed some pounds. Do not be fooled by the clothing industry propaganda. They are just trying to sell more large pieces of fabric and sailcloth. Remember the question "Do these jeans make me look fat" ? We all know the answer. Now that's where "Don't ask, don't tell" belongs. And if it is impossible for a person to get the weight down, then do not condemn or ridicule them. Accept them for who they are. It is their life.

Only 1 of those women is even close to 300lbs..... maybe you need to get a new perception on weight.

Also, this is a trick for women to use WHILE losing weight, they can't just magically lose the weight all at once and be the perfect size 2 blonde ditzy barbies you want them to be.

I really enjoy the fact that you have the audacity to insult the intelligence of others while using the word "stupider". The correct term is "more stupid" pick up a book once in a while, moron.
