Mariah Carey's Pageant Girl Dress

Mariah Carey is a curvy woman with a beautiful, healthy-looking body.

There's just one problem. The star likes to show a little too much of said healthy-looking body.

Last night, she performed in Universal City, CA in a tiny ruffle-bottom dress that was downright pageant-like, and far from the mature, siren-like gowns we always wish the star would wear.

Mariah Carey performed in Universal City last night wearing a pageant-like gold ruffled dress. While Carey loves to show her skin, which is smooth and "just like honey" after all these years, her curvy frame, on the other hand, might have been better suited in a different dress. Don't get us wrong, we think Carey is gorgeous -- she just might have benefited from a more mature look... and a bit more fabric!

I agree Rina. She needs to start dressing like the woman she is...save the poofy botom dresses for the younger generation. It also looks like shes packed on a few pounds...Now I love Mariah, but honey.. she need to dress to emphasize her figure and this dress makes her look larger.

I absolutely agree with you. Mariah is too big and too "mature" for a dress like that. She looks ridiculous. She has a woman's body and should be thankful for that and get a decent stylist to help her dress the way that enhances her body.

Way too young for a 40-year-old woman! I know Mariah has said in the past that she is "eternally 12 years old," but when I was 12 I dressed more maturely than that! Leave the pouffy dresses for the little pageant girls...Mariah is a woman and should dress accordingly--you can still look young and hot in a more sophisticated, age-appropriate dress.

not a fan ... can she sing ? sure, but she needs someone to help her get dressed ... the stuff she wears is WAY TOO TIGHT ... shows to much ... AND ! is NOT age appropriate ... MC

She needs to hire a new wardrobe person! She is such a pretty woman and always dresses so trashy. I'm not sure why she thinks stuffing herself into prepubesent clothes and letting it all hang out makes her look good. Most of her wardrobe detracts from the classy woman she could be and diminishes the respect her voice deserves!

mariah carey's outfit not too hot but her body is soooo sexy. She has never looked more physically appealing than she does now. Whatever she is doing and eating to get her body looking like that she needs to stick with that routine.
