Theory is all about cool basics, but as any style-inclined person knows, basics need to be styled just right to make them interesting.

Now Theory.com is teaching you how to do just that, with the help of seventeen 'Fashion Insiders,' or star stylists (twelve for the ladies, five for the fellas), to show visitors how to layer and mix their Theory ensembles to perfection.

The expert cast includes Andrea Lieberman, who has worked with Gwen Stefani and Cameron Diaz, Scarlett Johansson's go-to woman Annabel Tollman, Isabel Dupré, a former Style Director at Elle and red carpet stylist for Penelope Cruz and Kirsten Dunst, designer favorite Kate Young, and Tina Chai, who has collaborated with Michelle Obama favorites Jason Wu and Thakoon.

Each stylist gets their own page on the easy-to-navigate site, with a few of their styled outfits shown, as well as a video showing them work their magic on Theory's Spring 2010 offerings.

"I'm about easy looks constructed with layers," says Lieberman in her video. "I like the luxury of transforming from preppy chic to downtown street just by taking off my cardigan and rolling up my sleeves."

Tollman, on the other hand, schools visitors on how to mix stripes, florals and plaid without looking like a fool.

"Rules are made to be broken, so think outside the box," she says in her video. "Wear formal with casual, colors and prints that clash -- it's all okay."

The best part? All of the stylists' creative looks can be bought -- piece-by-piece or in their entirety -- with the click of a button, as Theory.com tries its hand at e-commerce for the first time.
