Ever wonder what it's like to be one of the most in-demand models around -- and only be 15 years old?

LIFE.com is giving you a little glimpse of that life, with its 35-image slideshow chronicling the Wichita, Kansas-bred teen model Lindsey Wixson through the recent New York Fashion Week madness.

The story, shot by Gabrielle Revere, shows the Kewpie face beauty, who is the star of Miu Miu's new ads, as she navigates her way through fittings, hair and makeup and turns down the runway, all while trying to make time to sleep, go to Starbucks and email friends and family back home.

"She's just this girl -- she's tired, she wants to drink coffee, she wants to eat chocolate... And the reality is she's all over billboards and the Miu Miu campaign and all of these big, high-profile things," says Revere of 5-foot-10 Wixson.

"It's a very interesting combination of real life and fantasy life."

Wixson's signature pout, wide-set eyes and front tooth gap have all made her a hot property the last two seasons; she skyrocketed to stardom after opening the Spring 2010 Prada show and closing the Spring 2010 Miu Miu show.

(She also walked alongside Victoria's Secret Angels Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes at Prada this season.)

"We were very selective about what she did," Wixson's modeling agent, Cheri Bowen of Marilyn, said of the model's New York show schedule.

"We chose the top ten, twelve shows for her to do... No one wants to over-expose her yet. We want to keep her really special."
