The behemoth department store is rolling out four exclusive fashion brands this month -- Ellen Tracy, Kouture by Kimora, Threads & Heirs and mstylelab.
Ellen Tracy -- which is no new kid on the block -- has, as we previously reported, finally found an exclusive home at Macy's. Classic yet chic, we're loving the brand's new aesthetic and its much lower prices.
Where Ellen Tracy pieces used to sell for $70-$1,500, the new items retail for an extremely reasonable $30-$150, while still providing great staples including basic white shirts, slim pants and tunic dresses.
"Ellen Tracy is a legacy fashion brand that has represented sophistication, style and quality to women for decades," Nicole Fischelis, Macy's GVP/fashion director for ready-to-wear said in a statement.
"Ellen Tracy speaks to today's woman who is looking for individual style that addresses each aspect of her life. The collection is confident and modern, offering the versatility to mix the timeless with the immediate for a contemporary and composed look."
"Kouture is designed to give inspiration to all girls who love fashion," Simmons' said in a statement. "They want fashion that feels expensive but the reality is that we need recession-proof fashion -- fashion that looks great and won't break the bank!"
Macy's is also introducing menswear label Threads & Heirs by the designers behind Ruffian, as well as mstylelab -- a collection of costume jewelry and accessories for a young contemporary customer.
In the home categories, Martha Stewart is introducing mattresses, while actress Eva Mendes is adding dinnerware to her Vida for Espana collection.
Look for the new lines to hit in March and April.
