Sunsilk Reveals Reformulated Line With Teddy Charles

OK, we have a confession to make.
We didn't go to Sunsilk's recent launch event in New York City to sample their completely reformulated line of products, get our makeup and hair personally attended to and glamorized by a team of experts, or even sip on the free-flowing Veuve Clicquot.
No, we went to secretly check out super hottie hairstylist Teddy Charles in action (that's him, above, touching our hair!).
The Parisian-born Charles - who is a backstage fixture at fashion weeks worldwide - was recently tapped by Sunsilk to create a new line of hair care products so everyday gals could get a piece of the runway allure at home. The result? A complete range of shampoos, conditioners and styling aides that all have the yummiest come-sniff-my-hair scent.
But don't assume that this is just another brand who has hired a pretty face to front their products; Charles was involved at every step of the formulation process.
"It was like seventh grade chemistry class - we were in the labs with Teddy with our big goggles on, smelling and mixing until we got everything just right, the way he wanted it. He was especially picky about the scent!" says Heather Mitchell of Unilever PR.

Product stand-outs include a milk and honey hydrating shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair, as well as a soothing rosemary and chamomile set that defrizzes curls and leaves them bouncy with hydrated shine.
Plus, recessionistas rejoice; every bottle is priced at $5 bucks or under, and is currently available at Walmart and Drugstore.com.
And because we knew it was our journalistic duty to ask - Charles is taken (his wife is fashion manicurist extraordinaire Yuna Park), and is the happy dad of two little girls - who we're sure have some fantastic hair.

I don't like the new sunsilk at all!! Not only are the bottles smaller now, they're more expensive. They smell exactly like Suave Professionals and they don't work as well. I've tried both Suave and Sunsilk now and hate them both. I bought one bottle of the "new" Sunsilk de-frizz conditioner and ended up putting it on the table at work with a sign that said " FREE--take me!" because I hated it so much. I bought the one offered about a year and a half ago all the time before it was changed. Now I just buy Aussie because of this. If Unilever was to change this back to the OLD formula and pricing with larger bottles I would start buying it again quicker than I could blink. Until then forget it, its Aussie for me now!
