After donning the black and white strapless prom-worthy frock by the designer to the Golden Globes in January, Fey was voted "Worst Dressed" by E!'s Fashion Police.
Zac Posen himself was looking for sympathy in the aftermath of the debacle. "After the Golden Globes, she fired her stylist and canceled the dress she'd ordered from me for the Academy Awards," Posen was overheard saying during New York Fashion Week.
And though he made himself out to be the victim in the matter, it was blown out of proportion.
"There was no 'firing' nor was there a Zac Posen dress that had been lined up," Fey's rep Cara Tripicchio clarified to StyleList.
"I believe a very preliminary discussion was had between [stylist] Anna Bingemann and Zac about wanting to dress Tina again -- she wore his dress last year for the Oscars – but it was too early to make any sort of commitment."
As for Fey and Bingemann not working together for the Oscars, the actress had already committed to working with Vogue, as a benefit of appearing on the magazine's March cover and participating in a story called "An Education: Tina Fey, Learning to Dress Like a Star."
We bet this smart girl learned her lesson -- stay tuned.
And check out one actress who probably won't be dressed by Vogue.
