Oscars 2010 Designer Repeat: Meryl Streep Opts for 'Project Runway' Alum Chris March Dress Again

Actress Meryl Streep has probably learned a thing or two from her 15 Oscar nominations: like, when you've had a winning red carpet moment, stick with it.

So, it's no surprise that the Best Actress nominee turned to "Project Runway" alum, and one of our all-time favorite contestants, Chris March for her white draped 2010 Oscars gown.

Streep is quickly becoming March's style muse -- she wore a black, belted custom-made dress with a soft cowl neck by the up-and-coming designer to this year's Golden Globes.

And in the that's-a-relief department, March's dress passed muster with the tough crowd from E!'s Fashion Police. Critics Jay Manual and Guiliana Rancic were raving about Streep's elegant, yet streamlined look the minute she stepped onto the red carpet.

Streep previously landed on E!'s worst-dressed list for the cinched printed Balenciaga dress she wore to this year's SAG awards, so it's nice to see March -- a theatrical designer who finished fourth on Season 4 of "Project Runway" -- be part of the leading lady's style rehabilitation.

"I wanted to faint," March told People, after Streep selected him for her Golden Globes look.

We bet someone is applying the smelling salts at Chez March right now!

And tonight's coup for the designer is just another notch in the stylish belts of the show's more ambitious alumni, who have had their own banner awards season.

Fellow Season 4 winner Christian Siriano made headlines for his controversial peach dress that Christina Hendricks wore to the Golden Globes.

Speaking of style rehabilitations, check out how actress Tina Fey perfected her red carpet look.
