Taking a page out of Lady Gaga's red carpet style book might not seem like a wise choice for Hollywood's leading ladies, but that's exactly what both Amanda Seyfried and Jennifer Lopez did at the 2010 Oscars.

You might recall Lady Gaga's ensemble for the Grammys earlier this year -- a sparkly and sculptural custom-made Armani Privé masterpiece which had her channeling Saturn with its three-dimensional swirling hoops.

Likewise, J.Lo chose a glittering and sculpted Armani Privé dress for the 2010 Oscar festivities -- the dress hugged her curves and featured an explosion of fabric at her left hip. (Like a side train.)

"It has to have that wow factor," Lopez, who dazzled in Cartier jewels, told ABC in a pre-show interview when asked about what makes a great Oscar dress. "You have to be able to walk around in it all night and be able to wear it and feel good."

For her own red carpet moment, Amanda Seyfried also choose a glassy and dazzling Armani Privé strapless number like J.Lo's, with a super structured bodice and pleats bursting from her right hip that created an uber-voluminous skirt.

Luckily both Lopez and Seyfried didn't follow Gaga's lead when it came to their beauty routines -- going for understated makeup and elegant updo's instead of Gaga's two-tone banana-hued Grammys hair.
