Vanessa Paradis Replacing Lily Allen in Chanel Coco Cocoon Ad Campaign

Most recently Lagerfeld tapped the beauty to be the face of the Rouge Coco lip color collection and now he's replacing Lily Allen with the famously gap-toothed Paradis to represent the Spring 2010 collection of those plush, Michelin Man-like Coco Cocoon bags.
The new Cocoon ads will be 37-year-old Paradis' fifth starring role for Chanel; the love affair began in 1991 when Vanessa promoted the Coco fragrance in an ad campaign shot by Jean-Paul Goude, which featured the model swinging in a large birdcage.
Then, in 2004, Paradis became ambassadress of Chanel's Ligne Cambon handbag, followed by the New Mademoiselle model in 2005.
Since it seems like American fans are going to be seeing a lot more of Paradis in the future -- especially since she's currently making the gossip rags with rumors of her forbidding Depp to do a love scene with his "The Tourist" co-star Angelina Jolie -- they can brush up on her musical history with the greatest hits album, "Best of Vanessa Paradis," released late last year.
As for the Coco Cocoon ads -- which we're secretly hoping feature this cocoon-like hairstyle from Chanel's Spring 2010 couture runway -- they'll be out this May.

Just seen the ad ... next time they should just go down to the mall for a model. She's average with a capital A
