Get your checkbook ready, girls. Actually, get Donald Trump's checkbook ready.

Fashion designer Jad Ghandour and Danasha Luxury are set to unveil a luxury dress valued at $1.5 million during Miami International Fashion Week.

The "ultimate red-carpet gown" is set to be worn down the runway by a celebrity model -- the company is still in negotiations - on March 20, but until then it's in the safe hands of two armed security guards.

(Hey, you never know when Winona Ryder might swing by.)

Though the Beirut-based designer is keeping mum about what exactly will comprise the mega-bucks frock, we can expect floaty silver fabric, a belted waistline and fine diamonds handset in 18-karat gold. Cha-ching!

"Our aim wasn't to just throw diamonds and gold together and call it a 'diamond gown'" Ghandour's design team tell us. "We wanted to create a masterpiece -– a gown that would highlight the finest materials without looking overwrought and costume-y.

"The resulting gown looks nothing short of dazzling -- each detail complements one another perfectly."

Well, for that price, it had better. Not that we can afford it, of course... though we will be passing on the alert to Bill Gates.

If that's too rich for your blood, check out Liberty of London's affordable Target collection.

Who cares about a stupid dress when so many people are homeless and can't even afford to buy food or new clothes?

If someone can afford to buy the dress and they like it, then why not. Who are to tell someone what to do with THEIR money.

We'll see you humming another tune when you are poor, nypd. Anyway, to answer you question, I am ME, and I can say whatever I want. This is America, remember? And Americans should help Americans! You, my friend should take another look at yourself and get some morals. Greed is one of the seven deadly sins. Those selfish people will get theirs...Karma....

EXACTLY CHAD!!! This the U.S.A. and if I want to spend $1.5 mil on dress that I like because I WANT too and it MY MONEY, why the in h*ll do you care. I give to charities all the time. In fact I probably spend more on charity than you do, and not only that I spend my time working with underprivileged and sepcial needs children.

And when I'm poor..pleeesea boy, I'm a hard worker, and yes somedays are financially better than others for everyone right now, and I don't know what tomorrow will bring for me and mine. But let me tell you one thing, I will be OKAY, because I have the values it takes to survive no matter what happens. And I don't know who raised you, but being rich isn't all about the material things, it's about what I do with myself and how I carry myself that makes me rich. Yes, Karma is b*tch, but I always give 100% to those I help, and at the end of the day if I want to buy then goddam*t I'm gonna buy, and you aren't about to tell me not to.

So you can take your whole argument and shove it!!!

How awful. Just think of all the people that could be fed on that 1.5 million that is wasted on ONE dress!

Is the only thing you know how to write is "Who are you? blah, blah, blah...YOU are a whiner, and WHO are YOU to belittle someone? You don't know me, and what money I have or how I choose to spend it. There's more to life than material things...Helping others is what I CHOOSE to do. Now go do something productive, like get terminally ill or something..then we will see who whines. Good day (not) and goodbye..Not wasting any more of my precious time here, with you. I have much more imprtant things to do, because I HAVE a life.

Apparently you don't have a life if you are on this board making pointless arguments. As the people said above, if they want to waste money on a million dollar dress, that is their businsess, not yours. Some of us do contribute to charities because we HAVE the money to do it. If you don't spend money, the economy doesn't rebound and more people will have to face financial hardships because people like you are afraid to spend. I feel badly for the people who hardly make money as it is in places like Macys or Sears that are losing their jobs because people are not buying, but damn if the parking lots aren't full on a weekend keeping the people away that actually want to buy stuff to keep them in business. No. We have window shoppers taking up parking spaces from potential customers wanting to actually buy something! We have to come back during the week when it's less crowded. Of course, this is America, remember? We have the freedom to say what we want, go where we want, and gosh darn it, waste our money on a million dollar dress! My life and how I spend my hard earned money is none of your damn business! I earned it, not you. You don't pay my bills! That is what they were trying to tell you! Until you pay my bills, you have nothing to say!

Wow, despite some rather 'intense' comments from above, if this dress is sooo damn expensive, wouldn't it be funny if someone attempted stealing the celebrity who is going to wear it on the red carpet? Just hoist over the shoulders and run! haha Gonna need bodyguards for a peice of fabric. lol

To Chad, I agree with your statement. In my opinion, there's too much GREED and not enough NEED! Not enough help, noonne coming together anymore. guess it is every man for his/herself! This just is not very American!

I think this dress is more like "art" a lot of fashion designers consider themselves people who create wearable art, I don't think this dress was created to separate the haves from the have-nots. Some people would pay a 1.2 million for a masterpiece painting, others might want to buy a masterpiece dress. It just depends on what you consider art. If a 1.2 million dollar dress speaks to you, and you can afford to buy it why not?

If it's like that, it's because now newer generations are learning that concept and the parents are to blame for it. I am so tired of the ME ME ME attitude myself. But the main issue here is the dress. If someone wants to buy it...you have it to see it from this perspective... It helps the person to stay in business who creates the dress and keeps people employed so they could feed their families. Yes, there are people out of work, but there is not enough peope to give to charity anymore except for those who make millions despite the state of the economy.
