this seems like such a good idea i am most definitely going to try it out. to make a manicure more interesting is right up my alley

I was actually 1 of the nail technicians that applied the lace nails for the Tracy Reese Fashion show in Bryant Park.

I am not impressed at all. It distracts from good looking manicures. Personally, I prefer women not to have any nail polish or art work on their finger nails or toe nails. Clear polish is sufficient.

Looks like little bacterial collection devices to me. How would you keep your hands clean with little fabric peices on your nails? I do not see how the polish would cover all the lace. Also, I love the way it says 'measure and trim the lace to fit each fingernail' as if that is a simple little thing. Yeah, that'll happen.

I think it looks great. I'm sure you would only do this for a very special occasion. I would love to see it in white for a bride. Most bridal shops would be able to get extra lace to match your dress.

I can't wait to try this! It looks really cool, I think I'm gonna try some brightly colored lace though.

Why actual material? As one respondent said-- can we say a bit dirty? NO WAY will a top coat seal this unless you apply many coats. Come to Brooklyn, where you can get anything from Santa Claus to the Mona Lisa painted on your nails.

I would do it with fake nails. Would be easier to trim the lace to fit, plus I still bite my nails and they're short.

The lace is not sealed with the top coat.
It's applied on top of the polish for added texture.

Just a different tactile experience.

But you're right. It probably wouldn't last! And the edges would definately start to peel away after a couple of haind washings!

Could get similar effect airbrushing the lace onto the top of the nails!

Would be great in white for a wedding.

They should just make fake nails with lace patterns on them!

Hey, Michelle, I used to sit on the sidewalk in Waikiki and paint whatever the tourist girls wanted on their fingernails. Hawaiian scenery to school mascots, whatever. I charged 50 cents per nail, LOL, this was a long time ago.

Would look good in a different color. But not on toes. Hate black nail polish on fingers or toes. It just looks dirty. Pink is my favorite color.
