Following some early buzz among influential fashion bloggers this week, it appears a Twitter account and blog in the name of Vogue editrix Anna Wintour's talented writer-daughter, Bee Shaffer, is the work of an impersonator.
A spokesman for Vogue magazine told the New York Post the accounts were fake, although they were largely uncontroversial and mainly linked to fashion writing Shaffer had done in the past for London's Daily Telegraph newspaper.
(We were amused by a wry link to a patently false account in the name of Anna Wintour with "hell yeah!!! my mom on twitter!!! @OFFICIALWINTOUR!!!" Official Wintour's only tweet thus far: "those poseurs got to stop.")
However Bee's fashion writing, dating from 2006, is still worth checking out for those interested in her most interesting of lives.
