Sunless tanners are a life-saver (literally) for those of us who want to be bronze without the risks of laying out in the sun.

But slathering on yet another product on a daily basis can be impractical. To the rescue: Fake Bake's new Platinum Face self tanner, which combines a facial self-tanning formula with a potent anti-aging ingredient. It's like your self-tanner and your anti-aging cream in one!

A little background: The Mibelle Biochemistry scientists in Switzerland found that plant cells, unlike human cells, have an increased ability to regenerate as they age, whereas human cells gradually lose that function as we get older.

Using cells from a rare Swiss apple, the chemists proved the plant's ability to promote repair of damaged human skin cells, and they won an Innovation Prize in 2008 for Best Active Ingredient.

Noting that sunless tanning clients (we're talking to you, former sunbathers) likely would be interested in repairing some sun damage, Fake Bake infused their self-tanner with this new anti-aging ingredient, and Platinum Face was born.

We're guessing you want to try it, huh?

Well, we're giving away 10 of them, so go ahead and leave a comment below for your chance to win!

Here's how to enter:
  • To enter, leave a confirmed comment below telling us how you currently tan (never tan, use a tanning booth, get spray tans, apply self-tanner, lay in the sun...).
  • The comment must be left before 11:59 pm ET on March 26, 2010.
  • You may enter only once. 10 winners will be selected at random.
  • Winners will receive one Fake Bake Platinum Anti-Aging Self-Tan Lotion (valued at $29).
  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • Click here for complete official rules.

I'm curious if this product works ... I get airbrushed for special occasions and use a bronzer if I'm going out. Other than that, I bask in my lilly whiteness :)

Currently I use a sunless tanning lotion to add color to my upper body and face. It's taken me a while, though, to find the perfect one for me but it is DEFINITELY better than the alternative (and no I don't mean being pasty). For years I used to lie out in the sun or head to a tanning bed, but after college I entered grad school and my focus is on DNA damage repair. Do you know how freaked out I am now to even THINK of putting an unprotected arm inside a UV box?! I know first-hand the damage it'll do, and I'll pass! But thanks for the giveaway offer!

I don't. I get too burned, even if it's for 15 minutes. I always wear sunblock on my face, but I always forget my body, so I just avoid it all together. It's called porcelain, not pasty.

I self tan with a daily "glow" moisturizer. I'm fair skinned and use sunscreen to avoid the inevitable burn! Sounds like an intriguing new product~~

I currently use carrot juice in the sun, im not entirely convinced that being in the sun is that bad for you considering we have survived for thousands of years doing so... and its the best way to get vitamin d next to green veggies...... something that prevents cancer. i love self tanner on the face though gives a nice added glow

Sounds like a great product. I used to sunbathe, but stopped when I became an aesthetician and learned how badly it damages your skin. I have used self-tanning products, but haven't found the perfect one yet. Maybe this is it!

I'm really excited to try this product!
Tanning beds always splotch my skin
and self tanning lotions or cloths always
leave streaking. I can't wait to buy this! (:

I live in the desert so, I get plenty of sun (worries about skin cancer, and i'm already a 2-time survivor) I've been better about this. Tried the tanning beds but, those worry me as well. I've tried several tanning creams & sprays...not happy with the results!
I'd love to try this product..and makes me look younger?! Bring it on!

I used to lay in a tanning bed but recently went to the Dermotologist for a mole that I thought was a bit sketchy, it turned out to be okay but I will never go back into a tanning bed just for shear fear. I can however get a healthy glow with self-tanners =)

I love Fake Bake! I usually get airbrush tans during the spring and summer and apply self tanner during the fall/winter.
