Beauty Evolution: Kate Gosselin

We first met Kate Gosselin as a reality show star with eight kids on the way. Since then, we've watched her live through giving birth to said eight children, a divorce, a tummy tuck, and some major hair ups and downs. As she approaches her 35th birthday on March 28, 2010, her hair has come full circle from her high school days (left) and she has more experts than ever helping her go glam.

Kate eventually took her already questionable haircut to a new level at a salon in Reading, Pennsylvania near her home. Gosselin added even choppier back layers, an even longer and more asymmetrical front, and even bolder stripe-y highlights.

At a signing for her book, "Eight Little Faces" in 2009, Kate's signature hairstyle was in full effect. The look was like a reverse mullet; the longer the front became, the shorter and spikier the back would be.

When Kate co-hosted "The View" on September 15, 2010, the show's stylist took a curling iron to Gosselin's hair to blend in those heinous layers. We applaud her efforts to give Gosselin a more modern, soft look.
