From Christian Dior to Marc Jacobs, eyeliner ran rampant on the Spring 2010 runways.

Applied flirtily, with a coy uptick at the ends, and worn with glowing skin and sorbet-tone lips, eyeliner is an easy way to update your Spring makeup routine.

In the past few weeks, a few celebrities have pulled off the look fabulously: Nicole Richie made her hazel eyes pop at the Academy Awards with heather gray eyeshadow with bold eyeliner. Beyoncé made a fierce statement with kohl-rimmed eyes and tomato red lipstick at an event in New York City. And Dakota Fanning owned the cat eye look by pairing it with rosy cheeks, lush lashes, and pink lips at a party for The Runaways.

Inspired by their fresh take on eyeliner? Then get the look yourself -- it's easy if you know what you're doing. The trick is choosing the right products and application methods for your eye shape. We caught up with makeup artist Carmindy from TLC's "What Not to Wear for her simple tips to making small, large, and Asian eyes stand out with eyeliner. And if you're afraid of wielding the sometimes tricky liner pencil, not to worry, watch the large eyes video for Carmindy's best tip ever for cleaning up mistakes.

Watch the video for your eye shape, and start lining!

EYELINER FOR SMALLER EYES: Create the illusion of larger eyes by drawing eyeliner on just half the lid.

EYELINER FOR LARGER EYES: Perfect a natural lined look on large eyes by lining from the inside corners and lightly sweeping the pencil throughout.

EYELINER FOR ASIAN EYES: Bring out the shape and color in Asian eyes with liquid eyeliner.

LOLOL that horse faced person looks like Sarah Jessica Parker to me and she is one of the ugliest women on the face of this earth in my opinion. BUT, She is at least twice as old as Nicole Richie on the top left, who looks at least 60 years old! Nothing can erase years of drug abuse and anorexia!

Alright idiot,
I bet she way more beautiful than you could ever hope to be. Your just jealous! Not to mention, I can tell your trying to hard to think of something bad to say about Beyonce because seriously? Drag Queen? That's all you could come up with? Now if she were really ugly it wouldn't be hard to come up with a better insult.
Idiots should be seen not heard dear.

The three women at the top look like they applied their eyeliner with a magic marker. I hope this fad dies quickly -- nothing attractive about it at all.

I have been dragged over by people who sell these Dead Sea products in the mall and it is so annoying. It is expensive and not helpful. Save your money and go to a dr. and get tested products and procedures for lasting results.

To Dee and others:

These eyeliners are meant to be worn in the evening for a night out. They are supposed to be DRAMATIC. I think they look fine. Too many women today don't take care of their looks. Poor skin care, little (or no makeup). They look like slobs. I'm grew up at a time when women always wore make-up at work and styled their hair. Now days, many look like they just climbed out of bed and came to work!. Come on ladies, where's your pride in your appearance?? Be proud to be female, take care of yourself inside & out!

That is RIDICULOUS. Make-up does not add or take away from a womans beauty. I almost never wear make-up and people compliment me on my skin all the time. Just because you're shallow doesn't mean you should belittle anyone who decides to be natural. Besides, the look is not attractive. Thick eye liner is never cute, for a night out or daily wear.

So, a lack of make up makes women look like slobs? Serious reality check needed babe. I think the lack of make-up shows a greater pride in one's appearance, not a false confidence drawn on in your vanity mirror. Wearing make up doesnt make you any less of a women and does not compromise one's pride or feminism. Quite the opposite indeed. Natural beauty prevails any day. Namaste :)

I only wear eye makeup because my skin is oily and face makeup makes me break out. But thanks to my genes, I look 10 years younger than I am :) Also, lots of makeup makes me look old... I don't know about you, but I don't want to look like an old hag with tons of makeup caked on my face. But that's just me.

THANK YOU for you reply to those above... I am RIGHT there with you. To me an, Make-up is about art and expression. Of course it's also suppose enhance your natural beauty! If it's the same old crapola every season what is that communicating? What fun is that? 'Zzzzzz' to those women who don't mix it up. EVEN if it risks the fashion police.

Bravo!!! You are absolutely right. Lady should be look like a lady not like a tired old housewife. This days woman in their 70-s loking much more attractive and elegant then the ones in their 20-s and 30-s, because of the way they taken care of their appearance. No wonder we can see more often older lady in the company of the younger man.

In all honesty, I think most women care about their appearance just fine. There is no shame in not wearing makeup. It's usually BETTER for your skin not to cake it up with makeup, so in many cases, chances are the women who opt not to wear makeup are doing so in order to take care of their skin. I know I choose to use powder foundation because it helps control oil on my nose, for instance. I used to never use the stuff at all until I needed it for a show and realized it made my nose feel better oil wise. I also know until I discovered the stuff, I never used liquid foundations that were available because I knew they made me break out, which was unattractive and unhealthy.

There are plenty of ways to be proud of being female that don't involve obsessing over makeup. The media is putting PRESSURE on women to dye hair, wear makeup, dress a certain way, be a certain weight, and that is not what being a woman should entirely be about. I think the woman who is proud of her femininity is the one who is true to herself and wakes up and chooses to maybe lay off the foundation for a day or two until the zit from the new stuff that didn't work so well goes away, or chooses to wear makeup whether it be mainstream or different looking because it is what she likes for herself. Or the woman who decides she DOESN'T need the stuff at all, because women should be respected for who they are rather than how they look.

Think some of you have the green eye monster syndrome.. Nicole Richie and the end girl look beautiful and most women would love to look like them.. be happy for them and if you want to with think little lines or nothing go for it but it makes you sound a little bit jealous when you come out so strongly against their makeup.. would makeup make you look as nice as them.. and Nicole does not look old... she is extremely cute and has a great personality.. Paris would have been lost without her..
