Intelligent Nutrients, launched in 2008, is the result of Rechelbacher's lifelong quest for products that are truly good for you, made from certified organic food-grade ingredients and free of allegedly harmful additives such as silicone, petrochemicals, parabens and synthetic fragrances. And he's not shy about his belief in the importance of using certified organic ingredients and the soil on his farm in Wisconsin, where he grows many of them.
Intelligent Nutrients is one of the first U.S. cosmetics companies to be U.S.D.A. certified organic. Rechelbacher's activisim in the cosmetics industry even led him to file a group lawsuit earlier this year against companies that misuse the term "organic" on their products. At a recent seminar we attended in New York City, he declared himself a dedicated "participant in the process of sustainability." And he does seem to practice what he preaches. When describing the line of products he says, "materials should be edible; or they're toxic."
Intelligent Nutrients launched new Certified Organic Total Body Elixirs this month. The Elixirs are blends of aromatic oils and a proprietary seed-oil complex packed with antioxidants that hydrate and have anti-aging effects on the body, while promoting relaxation, stimulation, focus and more, depending on the formula you choose.
We're also partial to Intelligent Nutrients Organic Lip Delivery Nutrition, which is jammed with good-for-you ingredients like cumin seed oil, pumpkin seed oil, red grape, red raspberry and cranberry seed oils.
After hearing about a study that revealed the average person consumes four to six pounds of lipstick (which may contain lead) a year, and at the rate we apply lip balm, it makes us feel a whole lot better to know that we're ingesting organic ingredients with actual health benefits.
