Christina Aguilera fans will remember her gorgeous new look for this years' Golden Globes.

The singer underwent a complete makeover -- or should we say "under" -- trading her usual red lipstick and long, wavy locks for soft, smoky eye makeup, glowing cheeks and a sleek bob, at the hands of her longtime hairstylist Peter Savic and Nars makeup artist Kristofer Buckle.

Tomorrow's Us Weekly gives us the scoop on this celebrity transformation, and more, with a 21 page section on the best Makeovers of the Year. (Get a sneak peek here!).

"I did a glamorous look that wasn't theatrical," Buckle told Us, who gave the star of Burlesque (which comes out in November) a more natural look for January's Golden Globes.

The singer does not have stage fright when it comes to beauty."I like to try new things and not take myself too seriously," Aguilera (whose new album, Bionic, hits June 8) has said of her appearance.

And Buckle agrees: "Christina is definitely a beauty icon because she is a very beautiful woman who is fearless and follows her instincts. She uses all of her resources to entertain and express herself without apology."

The singer (mom to son Max, 2, with hubby Jordan Bratman, 32) has also gotten in better-than-ever shape, thanks to dancing on the musical's set and workouts with her trainer Tee Sorge.

"I've done so much in 2009 to prepare for 2010," Aguilera, 29, tells Us. "It's been hard work getting ready for a great year ahead, so I'm really excited!"

She also spilled a little dirt on the movie: "The [movie] schedule [was] grueling but it's been amazing and an incredible learning experience for myself and sort of entering a whole new episode of my life. Doing film is a completely different animal and working with Cher in the new year with the movie... It's a whole new animal for me and then shortly after that releasing the new record so it's a big year coming up for me."
