'My Body, My Style' Video: Pear Shaped? Here's a Casual Outfit

In this episode of "My Body, My Style" we meet Kacie who is a 32-year-old mom that has a pear shaped body, which is the most common silhouette for women in America. If you have a slight top, small waist, and fuller hip line and bottom, then listen up because stylist Sam Saboura has some great advice for you.

His first recommendation is to wear bright colors on top to bring the eye upward. Also skip the skinny jeans and instead opt for a boot cut.

Saboura dresses Kacie in a colorful print top, smashing yellow cardigan and boot-cut jeans (with heels of course), that has him exclaiming, "You have legs for days!"

I really like the fact that I can get on my computer and find out how to wear clothes that fit my body. I have the same promblen as the pear shape person only I have a heavy chest. Can I still wear the same outfit as the person that has the small chest?

I'm 65, and have a long body for a petite woman (5.2). My problem is my tummy. Besides continuing to diet, how best can I address the "pregnant" look? The rest of me does not look too bad at all.

Any help would be appreciated. ]

Exercise. Suck in your gut when you walk and with every exercise you do. This will shorten the muscles, and they will hold you and your innards more securely and help support your back.

Flatten your stomach, lift your ribs up, keep your shoulder joints, hip joints, and ankle joints in a straight line. If you are good at imagery, pretend there is a line fastened to your breast bone three or four inches below the hollow your collar bones make, and it is pulling up. You need to relax for this; your shoulders will fall correctly: don't haul up and/or back. You willl be able to breathe easier and more deeply, and you will look 100% better.

All this is well and good, but I never find anything about, (I guess you could call it a banana with a bust) shape. I have large breasts, waist has gone somewhere, and flat butt with skinny legs. Should I just hide out in a closet somewhere? This is all so ridiculous and you people who make fun of Michelle O'Bama and others are just showing your ignorance. The anorexic or x-ray look is passing. Marilynn Monre wore a size 14/15 and she looked great. What is wrong with you folks anyway? Granted people like to look their best, but it's what's inside that counts. You are so superficial.......I don't even know why I'm wasting my time with you.

The people commenting about Michelle obviously don't have someone to snuggle up to at night. Her husband obviously likes her pear shape and she can rest her head on his shoulder as she goes to sleep. Can her critics? Also, are you the perfect body?
