It's no shocker that Andy Warhol's perpetually ahead-of-the-times brainchild Interview Magazine isn't taking a backseat in this media revolution, and in what's bound to get both techies and fashionistas in a tizzy, the publication is releasing its April issue on the iPad via a new app.
Get your fill of fashion, music, art, culture, and film right on this crazy-cool device (trust us, we got to play with the iPad at the Interview offices in New York City's SoHo earlier today).
Themed "The Currency of Youth," the April cover features cinema's newest darling Carey Mulligan, who is interviewed by Susan Sarandon for the inside story. Also in the issue: a seemingly paint-splattered Ke$ha, artist Ryan McGinely, '90s club kid Michael Alig, "Twilight" hunk Kellan Lutz, and much, much more -- 334 screens worth, as a matter of fact.
Plus, there's 20 minutes of exclusive video and audio content -- we highly recommend the lively behind-the-scenes video with the "Jersey Shore" crew and Bar Refaeli by photographer Terry Richardson. How could that combo not be genius?
To top it off, the price is right -- Interview's app costs only 99 cents. It remains to be seen what the advent of the iPad means for print magazines and multimedia down the line, but clearly Interview is well ahead of the game, as usual.
We think Andy would be proud.
