Lady Gaga Graffitis Hermès Birkin Bag With Message to Japanese Fans

Lady Gaga makes a fashion statement... on her Birkin bag! Photo: Jun Sato, WireImage.com

Hermès fans, avert your eyes.

Lady Gaga has pulled some jaw-dropping stunts during her rise to fame, but the over-the-top singer's latest sartorial statement (literally) is enough to send Birkin devotee Victoria Beckham into shock.

Upon arriving at the New Tokyo International Airport in Japan for her world tour, Gaga flashed a dreamy white Hermès Birkin bag... which she'd (shock! horror!) marked up with Japanese characters that translated to "I love little monster, Tokyo love," the Daily Mail reports.

Graffiting your own multi-thousand-dollar handbag? Now that's gangsta.

The message -- also written in Japanese Katakana on the star's arm -- was a shout-out to her fans, whom she often dubs as "little monsters," according to the paper.

What, was a Hallmark card too predictable?

As if butchering a really expensive designer handbag wasn't dramatic enough, Gaga also sported a bizarre structured suit, leather gloves, long blonde locks and sky-high patent lace-up boots.

Our condolences to the people waiting behind her in line at the security checkpoint.

While we're sure her fans appreciated the declaration of love, maybe next time she can spare the Birkin in favor of a few bouquets?

Meanwhile, read about Hermes' new fine jewelry line.

This will be the new "it" style. How many people are going to go find knock-offs and write on them like they are Facebook status updates?

If you have the money to spend (waste) on a very expensive bag like this, you should be able to do with it as you wish. She has enough money to get another blank slate if she so chooses.

Once again, much ado about nothing. What is value? That Hermes bag could feed many people. What is wealth, or even taste? This is meaningless drivel, gone in 15 minutes.

You go, Gaga! It's her bag. She can do what she wants with it. And to say there's anything bizarre about Gaga is kind of hilarious. It's what she IS! She's worked very hard to get where she is and to write a snarky article about her 'style' is laughable, since she's all about HER style.

You have to hand it to her. She loves her fans. Most in her position are too smug to associate with 'those people'. Bless her for loving her work and the people who make her art and her work possible.

Seriously, you people all act like she is relevant. I cant stand her, but I'll say its her bag, she can do as she pleases with it. If it pisses you off to see her do that to a precious designer bag, then y ou all really need to get your priorities straight.

Where is the public outcry about the Catholic Mafia continually, and for decades if not 100s of years, covering up the escapades of their felonious priests?? I see all you shallow people commenting about a bag and getting literally pissed off over that bag having writing on it, meanwhile the catholic church does whatever it sees fit and NO ONE does anything about it. The catholic Church is no different then a mafioso. They do what they please, in secrecy and in behind close door meetings. They just shuffle the priests around and hush the victims.

Defending the church for their actions is no different then defending John Wayne gacy, Jeffery Dahmer or Charles Manson. You'd all rather defend a man in a fancy dress and an over-sized hat. In some sick twisted way, you make excuses for illegal pedophile behaviour. I'm all for forgiveness, but I am also all for prosecution of these felons they call God's workers.

PS: I am a Christian.... not a brain-washed Catholic.

Who CARES if Lady Gaga "defaces" a bag? That's one fugly bag anyway and, no matter how much it cost, it still looks like it's made of pleather. As a matter of fact, I think I've seen that exact handbag at Target for 19.99.

The 'Lady' is a trend setter...I'll bet all the celebs start showing up at affairs with their $3000 handbags personalized (not defaced). New "Ink Your Bag" businesses will pop up all over Hollywood.

A Birkin handbag is not "$3000"... try $10,000-15,000. Some are even higher if they are rare materials like crocodile or ostrich

Oh, please. Who cares? It's her purse. If she wants to put a Hello Kitty sticker on it, she should! These "multi-thousand-dollar" purses are so pretentious.

Right On Sallie!!!!!! Like it's some kind of sacrelege or something. That's what's wrong with the world today. People have gone loony toons with their priorities. People need to grow up and get it together. Get priorities and responsibilities in the right order. Just plain grow the f up!!!! I've noticed that 20-25 year olds today act like 12 year olds did when I was 12. Hell when I was 12 me and most of my friends had our own businesses mowing lawns (Very common back then). But we were out wokring making a living at 12 (by our own choice) and not lazin' around the tv or computer playin' games. Whoa! how did I get so way off topic? Chain reaction I guess.

No kidding, I had a paper route, mowed lawns, and shoveled snow in the winter to make money at twelve too.
