When we heard that Brit pop star Natasha Bedingfield was helping John Frieda kick off his Sheer Blonde campaign, we just had to steal away the 28 year-old star for a few exclusive questions.

Q: Is being blonde part of your identity as a performer?
A: I think being blonde encapsulates carefree fun and enjoyment, and I would definitely say that is part of who I am.

Q: What's always in your makeup bag?
A: L'Oréal Le Grand Curl Mascara is a lifesaver - it always makes me look awake, even if I'm tired!

Q: What's your desert island product?

A: Cle de Peau Concealer is the best one I've found out there. Definitely worth every penny.

Q: What's one of your favorite hair tricks for appearances?
A: I use the John Frieda Go Blonder shampoo and conditioner. It's great on the road when I don't have time to get to the salon to have my hair colored. I'm a natural blonde, but I do add highlights because I want it to shine when I'm on stage, and highlights pick up the light.

Q: Why did you decide to partner with John Frieda?
A: They have some amazing products for blondes and we're celebrating blondes with this campaign!

In a YouTube contest that's part of the viral campaign, blonde fans can upload a video singing Bedingfield's hit, Pocketful of Sunshine for a chance to win a concert performance on stage with the Grammy award-nominated star herself.

Bedingfield will even personally pick the final grand winner from all the submissions.

Are you a brunette? Don't be bummed. There's another fun John Frieda campaign in the works to include you too.
