Look at this stuff, isn't it neat? Wouldn't you think my (jewelry) collection's complete?

Piggybacking on the success of its many Alice in Wonderland-themed jewelry collections, Disney is tapping a certain scaly redheaded heroine to play the muse for its newest offering.

Starting in May, Disney Couture will be selling a line of jewelry inspired by The Little Mermaid.

Although the 30-piece, $34-$160 collection includes a childish gold-plated sandcastle and treasure box pendant necklaces, pop-top rings with pearls inside, braided leather charm bracelets and jellyfish and octopus-shaped earrings, it's got some surprisingly chic offerings for those of us beyond Kindergarten.

The collection was produced by Lucas Design International, the same company that created Tom Binns' Alice in Wonderland line, and includes a few redeeming pieces that are less literal interpretations of the beachy childhood tale: think sleek hoop earrings with fish hooks on the end, a shark jaw ring and a necklace with cascading mother of pearl discs in a rainbow of colors, mimicking the scales of a very elegant fish (pictured above).

Now, whether you'll be able to wear them without getting 'Under The Sea' stuck in your head is another matter.
