We've got our travel agents on the line following news from London that Selfridges department store will be opening the largest shoe department in the world this September.

Billed as larger than the massive ground floor of London's Tate Modern, the megastore will be designed by architect Jamie Forbert and is expected to house at least six salons and 10 brand boutiques, according to Vogue UK.

And with labels like Givenchy, Stella McCartney, Chloe and Rodarte reportedly on board, the department is destined to make Imelda Marcos' shoe collection look like a shoe cubby at a McDonald's soft play area.

All this and Jude Law too? Man, those Brits have all the luck.

Meanwhile, let's hope Sarah Brown, the British Prime Minister's wife, can head over to find something chic to cover up those unsightly feet!
