So that's how the devil is able to afford all that Prada.

A week-long internship under Vogue's Anna Wintour being auctioned off through Charitybuzz currently has a high bid of $13,000 -- with 17 bids being made, according to the company's website.

And budding Grace Coddingtons with deep pockets can still bid -- they auction doesn't end until this Thursday at 12:29pm EST.

Oh, drats. Our dog ate our checkbook.

But while the fashion set is clamoring to be Wintour's underling, an auction to be a Versace slave intern for an entire semester, complete with Donatella meet-and-greet, has yet to receive a single bid since kicking off yesterday.

But don't get too cocky, Anna. Bidding to attend a taping of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and meet Oprah herself has already fetched $16,000. (In related news, your mother just spent your inheritance.)

While we doubt having our photo taken with Oprah trumps learning at the heels of Anna or Donatella, the prospect is definitely less terrifying.

After all, if we wanted to fetch lattes and deal with frosty glares, we'd just stay parked in the kitchen for free.

Meanwhile, Marilyn Monroe's personal effects are also on the auction block.
