'The Hills' and 'The City' Premiere Tonight
Tonight marks one of the most exciting nights in television history...if you're a hard core fashion-lover/drama queen. In honor of the much anticipated premieres of MTV's two reality hits: "The Hills" and "The City," we put together a little NYC vs. L.A. style eye candy.
An Afternoon Shopping Spree: Have coffee, will travel. New York City girls Whitney Port and frenemy Roxy Olin channel Serena and Blair's always-put-together Gossip Girl style as they stroll in the Soho neighborhood. Meanwhile L.A. girls from "The Hills," Kristin Cavallari and Audrina Patridge, opt for jeans and a tank and a flirty sundress for their day of store-hopping.
On-Set Ensembles: It's a style showdown between Whitney and Kristin! The former opts for darker tones and floral dresses while the latter keeps it laid back in black jeans, red shoes, and the occasional scarf with a white T-shirt.
Fun In The Sun: Whether partying by the pool or indulging in an afternoon at the beach, the ladies of both cities know how to dress in warm weather garb. Olivia Palermo covers up in a loose jumper while Kristin is scantily clad in a teeny bikini. Whitney touches on the mixed print trend with a mismatched halter and board shorts. Heidi Montag, meanwhile, has no qualms about showing off her surgically enhanced assets.
A Night On the Town: Staying true to L.A. style, the cast of "The Hills" glam it up for a night of partying in sky-high heels, ultra mini dresses, pink lips and loose, wavy locks. In New York, Whitney Port and Roxy Olin opt for a more minimal approach. The ladies of "The City" accessorize their outfits with bold red lips, a ballerina bun and a side-swept braid.

Today's fashions are for the most part are too short, too gaudy' too revealing & not figure flattering for even fashion models much less the average middle age mom & up.
I can't wait to hear how they're viewed once this trend becomes dated & out of fashion.
Maybe I'm the only one in this country who feels like this. I'm always looking at someone & feeling embarrassed for them either because they've revealed far more than one should see, or that short skirt w/ the gaudy animal print makes her look yea wide.
