Mamma mia! Decked out in a sexy black ballgown, dramatic eye makeup, and an elegantly teased updo, a stunning Angelina Jolie conjured up images of legendary Italian sex sirens Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida as she shot the thriller "The Tourist" over the weekend.

The movie stars Johnny Depp as an American tourist who travels to Venice, where he falls for mysterious Interpol agent Elise (Jolie). The actress has been filming in the romantic city since February, and until now, has mostly been spotted in her characters classic gray suit, her blonde-highlighted hair hanging loose.

But on April 24, she looked every inch the lady in her Edwardian-style gown, an off-the-shoulder confection that featured a bustle and dramatically low neckline. Long velvet gloves added an extra graceful air, and a diamond choker accentuated Jolie's swanlike neck and delicate collarbone.

In what appears to be a nod to '60s sexbombs Loren and Lollabrigida, Jolie's heavily mascaraed eyes include a Cleopatra-style sweep and her tresses are teased into a subtle bouffant.

At one point during filming, Jolie was seen warding off the chill of the Venetian canals by cozying up in a long gray pashmina. The mother of six was a bit more daring during a photo shoot on April 26, however, when she was snapped by French fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier at The Hotel Danieli wearing what looks like a cream-colored wrap and little else.

Meanwhile Scarlett Johansson is channeling Marilyn Monroe in Dolce & Gabbana's Summer 2010 makeup collection campaign.
